Hi. My name is Christine Katz and I am originally from Maryland.  I moved  to Lakeland in 2000.  Immediately after moving to Lakeland I enrolled my son in a swim program.  He was 14 months old at the time.  Three months later he fell into our pool and rotated to his back, just as he was taught. I immediately grabbed him out of the pool unharmed because he had been able to breath, unlike a child that falls in with no training and sinks to the bottom.  Afterwards, I decided to become a swim instructor.  I wanted to reciprocate the gift that was given to me.  I have been teaching for 17 years now.
